After arresting him the US authorities seized his passport and cancelled his US visa. As per the ToI, the pilot who is in his 50s used to operate the US-based flights and after this incident, he will not be able to visit the US again.
As per the media reports, the FBI had been keeping an eye on his internet usage for the last two months during his stop in the country. All air carriers operating US-bound flights are required to tender a list of passengers and crew to the US Bureau of Customs and Border Protection within 15 minutes after the departure of the flight which means that the FBI was waiting for him to re-enter the country before making the arrest.
The investigative agencies also handed over a sealed dossier with evidence of his internet usage while being in the USA to the Indian authorities.
